Our client’s European Headquarters is based in the UK which is responsible for the European factory and sales subsidiaries in Germany, France, Italy, Benelux, Denmark, Turkey, Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary. These operations are supported by a network of direct sales and distributors covering sales, service and technical consultancy services.


The Benelux operation has offices near Brussels (B) and Utrecht (NL) and covers the geographic areas of Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.

The Role

The MD Designate will be responsible for running the Benelux core business. From the outset the successful candidate will be responsible for financial control (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow) of the business and must be able to demonstrate familiarity and experience with these responsibilities.  In addition he / she will also lead the international spare parts distribution centre for the European market.

The role also carries responsibility for negotiating sales prices, margins, technical specifications and establishing and maintaining relationships with potential customers at the most senior levels.  The position is seen as the client’s corporate representative in Benelux.

The successful candidate will be required to attend monthly management meetings in the UK and will contribute to product planning strategy and commercial policy.  He/she will also prepare sales forecasts and updates within the scope of the annual budgeting cycle.
